An Update

Well, I'm on vacation. . . sort of. The kids aren't at school this week and I don't have teach. But there is still work to be done. Planning, preparing reports, working on my stuff for the teacher's certification, etc. But luckily all of that is work that is portable. So I can take this work to the Red Sea with me and do it while I sun bathe in Dahab! I also plan on having a "Friends" marathon with one of my co-workers this week.
I love my job, but I am glad for the reprieve.
Outside of work I don't seem to have much of a life, but I do get to interact with my roommates/partners in crime from time to time. Those girls are incredible. Fellas (by fellas I mean single fellas), you are all idiots for not snatching up these girls. They will probably kill me for writing this, but who cares.

I always loved going to Dahab--better than Sharm in my book. Me & my buddies would load up our SUVs with all our dive gear/beer/booze/ice & take off. Stayed in a couple of different hotels there, but have forgotten their names. Like the bars & restaurants along the beach--far more rustic than Sharm; not to mention cheaper! Think the "Canyon" dive was the best shore dive in Egypt but liked cruising over to the Blue Hole after that dive for some relaxation & lunch. Would dive the elevator shaft after that. Still show friends pictures of the drive to the Blue Hole where you have to squeeze your truck through the rocks along side the cliff!! Cool! Sometimes we'd hang out after dark along the banks of the Blue Hole and enjoy the stars/booze--you could see every satellite & the stars where brilliant as the humidity was low and there were no man-made lights about. You could also see schools of glowing fish in the water, really neat looking. Except for all the Arabs smoking dope it was perfect!

Ahh, wish I was tagging along with ya, enjoy your youth/fun/adventures while you can!!

I've never been to Sharm, but from what I hear Dahab is definitely more my style. I cannot wait!
