Hope you didn't have to spend it at the Mogamma!
During my year over there I was on a diplomatic passport, so didn't have to deal with that crap. Had a lot of Western teacher types that did though, they filled us in on all the horror stories. Felt the same about Maadi, Siani was the same to me. Fortunately, as a guy I didn't get harrassed, but man did they harrass my wife, even when I was with her! She still hates the place.
Well have fun, enjoy being so young!!
