Well, it looks like it is going to work out for me to visit my favorite place in the whole wide world one last time before I leave Egypt.
I am going with a friend and her friends to Dahab at the end of this week! I love, love, love, love Dahab. A big smile is all over my face.

I'd love to go with you as well! Be careful though, am sure you heard of the terrorist bombing there a couple of months ago. A couple (and her folks) were visiting when it happened and were seriously injured. They were Americans, living in Maadi like you, and fellow bloggers. You can read about what happened to them on their blog here.

Still, I'd go, but I'd steer clear of touristy areas, especially when they are crowded. This terrorist was targeting tourist to hurt Egypt's tourist industry. He wasn't after Americans specifically.
Anyhow odds of you being there during an attack are still pretty low, so go and have a great time; you like I will miss it when you return to the good 'ole USA!
Cheers
dottie, i have just gone back and read through your last few blogs. and i started crying! i'm so glad that you got to stay in cairo. i can't tell you how happy i am for you. you are one of the most amazing people i have ever met and i totally admire you (and am also a bit jealous that you are there =))and feel proud of you for actually going over there and making a life for yourself. i can't wait to see you. i miss you a lot. i wish that you could have been here for the wedding, but i understand! =) haha! you'll have to come over to our apartment when you get back and have dinner or something! love you, girl! jenn
Sara,
I am definitely diving!
Tater,
I was also there during the bombings a few months ago. It was pretty intense to say the least. I blogged about it all too. But despite all of those events, I really love, love, love Dahab. I couldn't bare to leave Egypt and not go one last time.
Jenn,
I can't wait to see you and Seth and your new place. I have such mixed emotions about leaving. I can't wait to reconnect with you guys and my family, etc. But living here has been an amazing experience for me. I am sad to go.
